 | A pair of U.S. Marines remove a Japanese bomb from the ground on Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands, using extreme care in excavating the dirt around it for the slightest jarring might set it off. After being removed, the bomb will be taken apart, another ticklish job that calls for high technical skill. U.S. Marine Corps photo from ACME, February 5, 1943.
