1. Copies of reports made by the the RAF pilots taking part in the Bullseye
exercise of night 4-5 May 44 have been received at this Hq.

2. All reports speak of the excellence of the SLs at Newcastle, of the
long periods during which the aircraft were illuminated, and of the
difficulty experienced by pilots in escaping from the beams.
