Part I — Movements of the 225th AAA S/L Bn
in Great Britain: Dan-y-Parc

Dan y Parc Farm, County Powys, Wales, is located a fews miles from Crickhowell. In 1944, it was the site of an Allied transient camp. The 225th arrived there via motor convoy from Camp Blandford, Dorset on 13 February 1944 and departed on 29 February 1944 (bound for Castle Camps on the Essex-Cambridgeshire border). The original manor house known by the same name burned down after the war. The exact location of the camp is unknown (anyone having information as to its precise location and history can write the Webmaster). The maps below show, top, Dan y Parc relative to Crickhowell; bottom, a closer view of its location along the A4077 motorway.
