Jim Mulligan is the owner of Sky Promotions, a promotional advertising company based in Tucson, Arizona. His meticulous restoration of a 1942 GE searchlight and generator is a true labor of love that he's captured in the following series of photos. He's kindly dedicated the restoration to Skylighters.
Jim's photos were taken on the grounds of the
Pima Air & Space Museum (PASM) in Tucson, Arizona, and he's posed his light with vintage half-tracks, 90-mm AA guns, and even a B-18 "Bolo" bomber. PASM features over 200 aircraft on display and has five large hangars totaling 100,000 square feet of exhibit space. An original WW II barracks contains an extensive model collection, arranged chronologically, which shows virtually all U. S. military aircraft from pre-World War I to the present. The museum enjoys an international reputation as one of the best anywhere. For aviation enthusiasts of all ages, PASM brings history to life. For more information, contact:
