The World War II Photo of the Week for 14 January 2002 Victory at St. Malo ...    Flying from a splayed barrel of a Nazi ack-ack gun atop the citadel in St. Malo, France, "Old Glory" indicates the victory which American troops won after four days of concentrated assault on the city. Photo dated August 17, 1944, one day after the Germans surrendered. From the Webmaster's collection.
