WW II
Vehicle Collection

| Three classic WW II vehicles appear together, with a standard 60-inch searchlight thrown in for excitement. From left to right, a White Model M16 half-track with quad .50-caliber machine guns and mount, a Ford GPW Jeep (not a Willys!) with canvas top, and towing the searchlight on a Fruehauf trailer a GMC CCKW 6x6, two-and-a-half ton cargo truck with winch, ring mount, and steel (not wooden) box. The latter is also known as the famous "deuce-and-a-half" used by the Red Ball Express to ferry gasoline and other supplies to the American armies racing across Northern France (photo courtesy Chet Krause). |
