JESSE AT CAMP RATTLE (7 K)
It's A Small World
Jesse sits in front of the building at Camp Rattle where his brother
Joe had been billeted. Joe and Jesse hadn't seen each other in 33
months. Ironically, Joe's unit moved out right before C Battery
occupied the building. A letter addressed to Joe was left on the
floor! Jesse learned that Joe's unit had moved about 60 miles
south, and with a three-day pass from C Battery commander,
Capt. Eggert in hand, Jesse caught a ride with a sergeant from
Joe's unit and finally caught up with his brother.
