HUMAN TORPEDO

Originally captioned "Travelin' Togs for the Human Torpedo," this
ACME radiophoto from April 25, 1944 shows the diver's suit and
helmet worn by the two-man crews of the Royal Navy's "human
torpedoes." These specially trained divers drive the torpedo
underwater, fasten it to the target, and then escape on a
detachable craft. The torpedo is detonated by a timer.
