HELGOLAND

A German speedboat, described as a minesweeper and
constructed along radical lines for its time, is shown being
put through its paces on March 10, 1946 by U.S. Navy
crewmen at Ft. Monroe, Virginia. The test was conducted
as part of an exhibit of captured Axis war craft and equipment
at Newport News, Virginia (Acme News photograph).
