August 22, 2003 One of only two surviving WW II King Tiger tanks is shown being offloaded from a ship to go to the German Armor Division Training School in Münsterlager, Germany for display as a museum piece (the other is at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland). Note that the tracks have been removed to "lighten" the 70-ton tank. Photo dated September 11, 1960.
