 | Colonel George R. Jarrett sets up a variety of German mortars for comparison testing at the Army's Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland on April 28, 1943. Throughout the war, hundreds of German weapons were brought to Aberdeen by the foreign branch of the U.S. Army Ordnance Department for study and comparison with Allied weapons.
