The USS Helena (on fire, at left) at Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941.
The minesweeper USS Oglala is on her side in the foreground.
Helena was in the berth normally assigned to the USS Pennsylvania
and thus became a prime target for the Japanese planes. She was
sunk by a torpedo that passed under Oglala and hit her amidships.
At far right, smoke pours from the USS Shaw in her drydock.
