SORTING THE MAIL (25 K)

Mail being sorted for an infantry unit while on the move
up a hill toward St. Lo, France, July 20, 1944. Note the
pineapple-style fragmentation grenade being used as a
"paperweight" to keep the wind from blowing the mail away.
The GI at right has had his theater-made 35th Division
shoulder patch lightly marked to be censored out later.
