Two soldiers (one with bayonet fixed) of the 88th Blue Devil Infantry Division guard a street in Trieste, Italy on the border with Yugoslavia. This photo was snapped during the battle for Gorizia, when the Yugoslavian 4th Army launched a surprise midnight maneuver on the border.
