This aerial photo shows the accuracy of Allied bombing strikes on a railroad line on the outskirts of St. Lo, Normandy. The USAAF flew thousands of interdiction missions in the Normandy lodgement, seeking to knock out German supply lines and hamper egress to and from the front.
