A U.S. Army field artillery battery crew loads their 155mm "Long Tom" for firing. Note the howitzer's wheels are sitting on Perforated Steel Plank (PSP), normally laid down on dirt airstrips to support aircraft. This shot was probably taken on New Georgia or Munda Island.
