Blitzed on Their Own Soil?
uncredited, uncredited photo

A squadron of U.S. Army M3 light tanks are "blitzed" by a flight of Douglas A-20 Havoc fighter-bombers during the Louisiana Maneuvers in 1941. Note the 1st Armored Division's distinctive insignia on the hull of the lead tank. A tank destroyer crew can be seen next to their antitank gun at right. Also noteworthy is the Texaco station in the right background.
