What Remains ...

Like a ghostly apparition, the hulk of the USS Arizona, tomb for 900 of her crew, is visible from the air beneath the Arizona Memorial. Dedicated in May 1962, the walls of the white marble open-air shrine are inscribed with the names of all 1,177 men lost when the ship was sunk on December 7, 1941.
