Stocking Davy Jone's Locker ...

Several captured Japanese prisoners of war are busy loading hundreds of surrendered weapons aboard a U.S. Navy LSM prior to them being ferried out to deep water and dumped into the ocean. Note the sailor armed with an M-1 carbine sitting off to the side (just to the left of the life raft), guarding the POWs and watching the process. U.S. Signal Corps photo dated September 30, 1945, and released November 21, 1945.
