Bomber Gallery ...

A member of the 401st Bombardment Group (Heavy) admires the gallery of the group's named B-17s that has been painted on the curved interior walls of a Nissen hut, complete with the nose art of many of the aircraft. Forts listed include Boche Buster, Dynamite John, Fearless Fosdick, and Queen Sally. (Click on the photo to enlarge it.) Though illegible, each plane's targets are listed as well (German cities against which the aircraft has flown a mission). A full listing of the group's "bombing iron" is available here.
