Rebuilt and Recyled ... Hundreds of battle-worn tanks like this one were rebuilt during the war to bolster U.S. armored forces. Rolling in from all over the world, tanks like this one underwent a "face lift" at the Army's vast Detroit Arsenal Production Plant. The rebuilt armor was scheduled to come off the refitting lines at the rate of fifty a month. From the Webmaster's collection.
