Before the Storm ...

Two members of the U.S. 6th Cavalry Regiment's F Troop, covered in mud from field maneuvers, flash a grin while sitting in their jeep at Ft. Ogelthorpe, Georgia. At left is J.C. Mathis; at right is J.H. Merriman. The photograph is dated March 19, 1941. Pearl Harbor is nine months away.
