Mechanics at Work ...

Mechanics assigned to the 77th Squadron work on an airplane at Cochran Field, Georgia, home of the USAAF's Basic Flying School from 1943 to 1945. At the time of the photo, however, Cochran was part of the U.S. support provided to its British allies in the form of a basic training facility for Royal Air Force (RAF) cadets.
