about 223rd AAA Searchlight Battalion

David Coates of Charlotte, NC writes: " ... I am searching for information on the AAA 223rd Searchlight Battalion during WW II. My uncle served in the unit during the war. The unit may have been stationed at one time at Camp Stewart, Georgia. My information is coming from his wife, so I may not be totally accurate on the unit identification. He was later transferred to the 573rd AAA Battalion and served through the end of the war with this unit. Any help in identifying these units would be greatly appreciated."
