BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH Josef was born on born 19 August 1919 in Gros-Raden, Czechoslovakia. His rank was Feldwebel. He served in the 2nd Kompanie, 123 Grenadier Regiment, 50th Infantry Division, Army Group "Mitte" (Center). His Feldpost Number was 01354-C. He was reported missing in August 1944, after receiving a visit from the Gestapo following the 20 July 1944 assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler.
