It's becoming commonplace to pay tribute to the efforts and achievements of the WW II generation, but in no way are the tributes diminished by their number or less deserved.

Those who answered the call in World War II faced challenges — and often dangers — that permanently marked their lives. How they responded would affect not only themselves, but their families, their country, and the world.

Their time was unique. It was momentous. And for we who follow, it remains an inspiration. The veterans will shrug off their accomplishments and tell you they simply did their job. And thank God they did.

We will publish their stories here so everyone has a chance to understand what they did and what they endured.
